The story of how I started paying attention to my shoes after buying a suit.
Thank you all for your help.
Kakishima will be in charge of this staff blog.
Since I recently bought a new suit, I've been noticing other people's suits a surprising amount.
Things like the feel of the fabric, the sizing, and how it fits around the shoulders—things you never paid attention to before—suddenly start to catch your eye.
And as I was watching, I noticed
My impression is that people who wear suits properly often wear proper shoes as well.
It's not so much that it's been polished to a shine, but rather that it looks like it's been "hand-maintained."
It's not flashy, yet it has a clean and calm feel, giving the overall impression a polished and refined look.
I learned the hard way that a suit isn't complete just by putting effort into the top... especially when it comes to the feet.
Following that, I bought a new pair of leather shoes.
I've always owned leather shoes, but since I recently bought a new suit, I thought I should try wearing a pair I'd carefully chosen.
However, here's the main point: I've never properly cared for my leather shoes before.
There are different types of brushes, including those for creams, cloths, and storage methods...
I'm completely clueless about so many things, I'm kind of panicking.
However, after doing some research, it seems like you don't need to aim for perfection right away.
First, simply dusting off dust after returning home, or polishing for just 5 minutes on the weekend—these small habits are enough to help it "grow" over time.
I think this is how it all developed, and that's what led me to the feeling that it was "hand-crafted."
Since I went to the trouble of buying it, I want to treat it properly and take good care of it.
And I hope that I can refine my daily habits so that these shoes feel natural and comfortable.
First, you need to "buy a brush."
That's all for this blog.
If there is a chance, I would appreciate your help again next time.
