A comfortable room temperature varies from person to person.

There's a problem that almost always occurs indoors during the hot season.

That's the temperature setting for the air conditioner.

Some people say, "Isn't it a little hot?", while others say, "It's a little cold."

We're in the same room, under the same air conditioning, so why do we perceive things so differently?
In particular, you often see situations where the men look hot, while the women look cold.
Of course, not all men are sensitive to heat and not all women are sensitive to cold.

Upon investigation, it seems that the room temperature at which people find comfortable is not simply determined by temperature alone.
It's not just the air temperature that matters; various factors are involved, including humidity, wind speed, heat absorbed from surrounding walls and windows, clothing, and a person's activity level.

Indeed, it's natural that someone wearing a suit and moving around will feel differently than someone sitting for a long time in light clothing, even at the same room temperature. That makes sense.
We concierges, especially the male concierges, always wear suits, so while it may be comfortable for those wearing lighter clothing, it can feel hot.

After looking into it this way, it seems that assuming "because I'm comfortable, others will be comfortable too" might be a bit dangerous.

Comfort standards vary from person to person.

Not just when it comes to room temperature, but rather than basing your decisions on your own perceptions, imagining how others are feeling might be the key to creating a comfortable space.

I prefer using a folding fan because I think it's more "stylish."
