Try to understand the other person's feelings.

Thank you for your continued support. Today, Umino will be in charge. 🌊

Have you ever had the experience of thinking you understood someone else's feelings when you actually didn't?
Even though you think you've heard everything clearly, you might actually be making assumptions based on your own interpretation. That happens surprisingly often, doesn't it?
Especially in adult relationships, it becomes more difficult to be honest with each other because you're both more considerate of one another.
That's why I think it's so important to look beyond the surface words and pay attention to the feelings that lie beneath them.

For example, when you feel that the other person is a little quiet.
Instead of immediately concluding, "They must be in a bad mood,"
I try to imagine a few possibilities, such as, "Maybe I'm just tired today," or "Maybe I'm feeling nervous."
Simply adopting this "avoiding assumptions" attitude can significantly change the distance you feel between yourself and the other person.
There are many clues hidden in non-verbal cues, such as facial expressions, tone of voice, and timing.

It's strange, but the very act of trying to understand the other person's feelings is actually the greatest act of consideration. It's okay if you don't understand them perfectly.
Simply knowing that someone is trying to understand you can make people feel at ease and more open.
Conversely, if you try to force your own opinions on others, no matter how good your intentions may be, they may gradually distance themselves from you.
Completely understanding someone else's feelings is probably not easy for anyone.
But I think the very process of trying to understand each other will gradually bring the two of you closer.
Let's take our time to pay attention to the other person's feelings in our everyday interactions, without rushing things.
